Every family must complete 3 shifts per family!

Whether you've been on the team 10 years, or you're a new parent - we have volunteer positions that match your skill level! Please review descriptions below.

Setup Positions

Event Set-Up: Typically check-in is at 4:00pm. This shift is responsible for setting up chairs, tables, organizing the water for hospitality, putting up banners/signs. (Home meets only).

Volunteer Positions

Clean Up: Putting away all chairs, tables, benches, etc. to get the pool ready for the next day of use.

Hospitality: Continually circulates and carries around a tray of water bottles to deliver to volunteers who are at their stations for the entire shift.

Purchase Supplies: Ice and water are needed for each meet. When you sign up for this shift you are signing up to purchase and deliver the items on time.

Ribbons: Label stickers on the back of all the ribbons awarded.

Runner: Collects all of the sheets after each race from the timers and takes to the balloters.

Timers: Time each race with stop watches. Great for beginners! Must stand in place for the entire shift.

Volunteers with Quick Training

Zoo Keeper – The zoo is the area where kids are checked into each event and put into the lanes for races. (Home and Away). Requires tons of interaction with young excited swimmers.

Computer – Home meets only. This role inputs all of the times for each event for the meet. You can be trained onsite to learn the software! Extremely easy Swimtopia software training will be provided on site.

Starter – The starter is the one that announces what race it is and gets the races going. In charge of keeping the meet moving at a fast pace! (Home meets only.)

Clerk – The clerk is the one that calls for all kids to report to the zoo. Must project loudly into microphone! (Home meets only).

Stroke & Turn Judges – (2 per shift) The stroke & turn judge is at each corner of the pool watching the swimmers during the races with their swimming techniques. (Home and Away). Requires someone who can work quietly, concentrate and has a long attention span - must be able to watch the swimmers and evaluate their strokes! Training happens in advance, must watch this OFFICIAL STROKE & TURN VIDEO.
